Meet Sanne Pulles-Janssen - doctor at the MET-LBS

How great to receive an invitation to introduce myself within this network! Since August 2022, I have been working as a doctor within the Mobile Expert Team Long-Term Consciousness Disorders (MET-LBS).
A few years ago I was allowed to fill in for a leave within the Early Intensive Neurorehabilitation in Leijpark Tilburg for patients with long-term disorders of consciousness, which I already found very interesting.

In addition, I have gained experience in neurology at the Máxima Medical Center Veldhoven, clinical spinal cord injury rehabilitation at the Hoogstraat Utrecht rehabilitation center and outpatient rehabilitation for patients with acquired brain injury at Libra rehabilitation Weert. The relationship between the physiology of the central nervous system, the influence of its pathology on general functioning and the possibility of recovering in it continues to fascinate me. So within the MET-LBS, the target group really appeals to me, but I also enjoy traveling throughout the Netherlands and providing specialist medical care on location in a very new and innovative team.
I am most looking forward to reactions from healthcare professionals, relatives and perhaps even patients themselves, indicating that our care has been useful and appropriate. In addition to working at the MET-LBS, I am training to become a geriatric specialist at educational institution GERION Amsterdam and I enjoy reading, tennis, golf, boating and drinking coffee.
