Meet Nicole Janssen
21 October 2021Bridging the gap between science and practice is indispensable to improve care and quality of life. Both sides can learn a lot from each other in order to provide the best care for vulnerable groups and their loved ones. At UKON/EENnacoma I get the opportunity to contribute to this important translation in which I can connect between diverse areas of expertise.
Health is a theme that has always appealed to me. That's why I chose to study Health Sciences in Maastricht. Although I found science super interesting, I wanted to create a link with practice and form a bridge between different areas of expertise. After completing the master's in Health Food Innovation Management, I have held various positions at

Nicole Janssen - network coordinator UKON & EENnacoma
Mead Johnson Nutrition (baby food). Here I was able to translate research into practice, such as translating scientific articles into understandable communications. I am driven to use these skills to support the target group network EENnacoma.
The establishment of the EENnacoma partnership has taken a major step in improving care for people with severe acquired brain injury. It is beautiful to see the passion and dedication of everyone involved. By disseminating, translating and connecting knowledge, I want to contribute to achieving appropriate care and a closed care chain for this vulnerable group.
