Meet Marjon Kamp - Network Manager EENnacoma
11 June 2024I am originally from the Achterhoek (Groenlo) and went to Utrecht for my studies. Here I studied biomedical sciences with a master's degree focused on infections and immunity. After that, I started my PhD in Groningen, where I researched at the protein level how amoeba cells can recognize a substance and move towards it. This is a process that human immune cells also use to move towards the site of infection. 4 years ago in 2020 I started at GAIN (Gelderland care network infection prevention) where I started working as a program officer and supervised several projects on infection prevention and antibiotic resistance.

Marjon Kamp - Network Manager EENnacoma
After 2 years I became the network coordinator (is the same as network manager here) and I got a taste of the administrative and strategic side. At the end of 2023 I stopped working for this network, it was time for a new challenge.
Why does this position/EENnacoma appeal to you?
I like to find a good way in a network, where there are many different interests, that everyone supports and to see how good cooperation brings everyone further. It is important that everyone feels heard, but also that decisions are made so that there is progress. As a network manager, I have an important role in this. I also notice that EENnacoma employs a lot of driven people who really have a heart for this complex patient group. This passion, the great colleagues and the challenge of working in a network make this a great job for me.
What are you looking forward to (the most)?/ are you super looking forward to?
On the last day of the in-depth discussion, we made a start on the research agenda working group. Very nice plans have arisen on how we are going to collect the knowledge questions and I look forward to organizing and implementing these sessions at the various partners. This is where my work and my hobby come together, because through storytelling we hope to get closer to the core of what questions are still playing a role in the workplace.
