Meet Dominique Lescure - Network Coordinator EENnacoma
13 June 2024During my Sociology studies, I did an internship at Nivel. There I became enthusiastic about doing research within healthcare and I continued to work at Nivel for various (international) projects after my studies. After Nivel, after a short stopover at IQ Health (a scientific department of the Radboudumc), I worked for Erasmus MC and the GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond. There I researched how we can improve communication about antibiotics between general practitioners and patients with a migration background.

Dominque Lescure - Network Coordinator EENnacoma
In collaboration with Pharos, we have developed a training course for general practitioners and simple information material about antibiotics.
Why does this position/EENnacoma appeal to you?
As a researcher, it was not always possible to translate it into practice and therefore I did not get enough satisfaction from my work. The position as network coordinator at EENnacoma appeals to me strongly because I am closer to practice and I can make a direct contribution to improving the care for people with severe ABI. I find it very inspiring how much has already been achieved for this vulnerable group thanks to many passionate professionals. It gives me a lot of energy to work within this active and involved network.
What are you looking forward to (the most)?/ are you super looking forward to?
In the short term, I am very much looking forward to the symposium on 20 June. I am curious about the presentations of all the speakers. In the long term, I am looking forward to making great strides in setting up a sounding board group with which we can involve relatives and clients more closely in the network and I look forward to developing a basic LBS training together with educationalist Ingrid Doornbos.
