(GZ-) Psychologist
Clients with severe Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or long-term disorders of consciousness (LBS) are a specific target group. Due to the complexity of this target group, specific requirements are placed on (GZ) psychologists who work with them or their loved ones. For example, it is important that the (GZ) psychologist has good knowledge and skills regarding the diagnosis and treatment of patients with LBS or severe ABI. In this way, the client can best be helped.
Paramedic
Clients with LBS or severe ABI are also a specific target group for paramedics due to their complexity. Good knowledge about the consequences that LBS or severe ABI can have on the brain and what effect this has on the client is needed. Only in this way can appropriate care be offered. Many of the competencies for paramedics who work with this target group overlap. That is why it was decided to draw up one profile for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and dietetics.
HBO nurse NAH
The expertise profile Specialized Nurse Acquired Brain Injury (hereinafter referred to as ABI nurse) is professionally complementary to the job description of the HBO nurse. The expertise profile does not describe the generic tasks with the associated competencies of the HBO nurse, but only the tasks and competencies focused on the area of expertise within ABI care.
MBO nurse VIG
After the patient with severe acquired brain injury (ABI) has survived the acute phase in the hospital, the care and treatment will take place in a different setting. This competency profile relates to the care and treatment needs of the individual client in this next phase. This can be: medical specialist rehabilitation, nursing home care, care for the disabled or home care.
