For whom?
The need for care and guidance in ABI differs from person to person. At Thebe, we have a lot of experience in treating people with ABI in all ages (on average between 25 and 70 years old). With our knowledge and expertise, we tailor our care to the possibilities, wishes and needs of the client.
Treatment and care
If (some) recovery is still possible, we offer (in addition to reactivation and geriatric rehabilitation) cognitive neurorehabilitation. If recovery from brain injury is no longer possible, we will reflect with you and your family on what this means for you, and how you can still do as much as possible that is important to you. Together with you and your family, we will help you to continue doing what you are used to doing as much as possible. Depending on what you can still do, you will receive more or less care and guidance.
At our Aeneas location in Breda, we offer small-scale residential groups for people with ABI. We look at the extent to which you need structure, social interaction, security and dosage of stimuli. People with similar needs live together.
Our Elisabeth location in Goirle is a specialist nursing home for people with complex care needs, including non-congenital brain injury (ABI). Here too, we look together at the extent to which you need structure, social interaction and dosage of stimuli, among other things. Dignity and self-direction are of paramount importance. In one of our departments, we work with living environments, namely structuring and stimulating. Elisabeth offers the opportunity to further deepen the skills and interests of her residents through the Jannendries day treatment and the associated workshop.
