Careyn
Region: South Holland Islands
Location: De Plantage, Brielle
For whom
We offer tailor-made care to people with severe ABI in the chronic phase. The two ABI departments within Careyn De Plantage (Oude and Nieuwe Struijten and Klein Oosterland Kleijburg) focus specifically on people under the age of 65 with severe ABI. These young people in the nursing home have different needs than older people. We try to meet this as much as possible by, among other things, offering a varied range of activities. We offer complex nursing home care for both people with a long-term disorder of consciousness (LBS) and for people in a conscious state. Careyn de Plantage wants to become a regional expertise center (REC) for the LBS target group. With the NAH departments for young people, Careyn has a regional function for the entire southwest of the Netherlands region (South Holland South, Zeeland, West Brabant).
Treatment and care
We offer living in the ABI unit with 24-hour care and a balanced activity program. In addition, treatment is provided by a treatment team with expertise in the field of ABI and LBS. The treatment goals are aimed at maintaining or increasing the client's existing possibilities, offering comfort, well-being and meaningful daytime activities. We do not offer rehabilitation.
